Here’s How Your Salon’s Instagram Should Look Post COVID-19

If your salon or workspace has reopened since the COVID-19 shut down, there are a couple of changes and additions you should make to your business’s Instagram page. When a client comes to your page, they want to see the precautions you are taking to keep your workspace as safe as possible. This lets clients know that you take their health and safety seriously. Here are three things you should be doing on social media since reopening your salon.

Let Your Clients Know What You Expect Of Them

Start by letting clients know what precautions they should personally take before being serviced by you. Examples include; not being serviced if they have been exposed to COVID -19 in the last fourteen days or if they are showing symptoms of COVID-19. This also includes asking clients to wear a mask to all appointments. If you are no longer allowing clients to pay in cash, let them know that as well. Be sure to let clients know what you expect of them well before their appointment, so they are prepared.

Secondly, inform your clients of all of the changes you have made in your salon. An example of this includes taking your client’s temperature before servicing them and spacing out your appointments to sanitize in between clients. Be sure to inform clients of any services you stopped offering due to COVID-19.

Post your new policies in multiple places

To make sure your clients are informed of your new changes, these new policies should be placed in more than one of your client touch points. These policies should be detailed in a post on your Instagram page, in a highlight titled “COVID-19 Policies” and on your booking website. Including your policies in each of these locations will help to keep your clients informed and make this an easy transition for both you and your clients.

Use these tips to ensure that your clients know you take their health and safety seriously.
